i-create: inclusion in the creative industry

This site aiming to bring together disadvantaged and minority people with the creative industry was not featuring in major search engines nearly a year after initial launch.

Solution: Minor technical changes to the website removed all blockages to search engine spyders - in particular the manner in which javascript had been used.
A set of key phrases was established through surveying the partners managing the project. These key phrases were allocated to specific pages and portal pages were included for the most important phrases. The content was updated and the site was submitted to the major online directories. Within a month the site could be found in the first page of results for the majority of the key phrases.
