Saber-rattling over
Collaging together images from the news, or... a direct instruction as to who your enemy is can be met with an acceptance and backing against the newly accepted enemy, but it could also be met with a dismissal, with the response that you are not going to be instructed what to think, that you will make up your mind for yourself based on the evidence and when there is no evidence just an instruction then perhaps the saber-rattling is over.
