A personal holy place
On thinking about memory and nostalgia we can create ritual and ceremony to celebrate or consolidate those experiences. These anniversaries are focussed on births, weddings and deaths; anniversaries annointed for all. But these rituals are not celebrations of personal success or achievement, surely it is wise to remember these moments we felt save or powerful, and thus to counter any habit of dwelling on failure.
