Collaging together images from the news, or... the word from a leading expert is that we are not prepared for the possible or perhaps now considered likely shocks of war or climate that might lead to th epopilation at risk of starvation. Here we are only half self sufficient where our neighbours are comploetely self sufficient or considerably more self sufficient than we are. What we once glorified as efficiency has now proven to be a vulnerability.
